Filmmaker Profile – Arthur Cauty
Born in London, and raised mostly in the Devonshire hills, Arthur Cauty is a pro -wrestling enthusiast, and casual rock star. Cauty has worked with the likes of World record breaking pop duo The Pet Shop Boys, on The Most Incredible Thing, a contemporary ballet for Sadler’s Wells Theatre, Miami’s World Symphony Orchestra and BAFTA award winner filmmaker Tal Rosner with credits on programming for SKY and CNBC.
Hard Knocks, Cauty’s directorial debiut was a documentary on the sport of professional wrestling, and featured stars from WWE (formerly WWF). The film played at numerous festivals, before seeing a DVD release and broadcast on SKY, receiving critical acclaim from film and Television producers including the BBC and Royal Television Society.
His new feature project, A Royal Hangover, is a relevant portrait of Britain and it’s love for alcohol. Shocking, hilarious, sympathetic and provocative. A film that we can all relate to. See interview about Royal Hangover film here.
